After his uncle unearths the first ancient Incan clue needed to find a vast trove of lost treasure, he is kidnapped by members of a shadowy organization intent on stealing the riches. Addison’s uncle is the bandits’ key to deciphering the ancient clues and looting the treasure . . . unless Addison and his friends can outsmart the kidnappers and crack the code first. Full of laugh-out-loud moments and nonstop action, and perfect for fans of Indiana Jones or James Patterson’s Treasure Hunters series, Addison Cooke and the Treasure of the Incas is sure to strike gold with kid readers.
Praise for Addison Cooke and the Treasure of the Incas
"Combines the derring-do of Indiana Jones with a genuine archaeological mystery. Stokes brings a cinematic scope to the story. This lively debut promises more seat-of-the-pants thrills for readers who love adventure."-- Booklist
"Cinematic pacing and action drive the story, but it’s Addison and his friends who will keep readers engaged. Humor is never in short supply . . . and Addison’s endless optimism and irrepressible confidence in his own abilities are endearing. A solid start to a new series, with a conclusion that will leave readers hoping Addison and company return soon for another adventure."-- School Library Journal
"Addison is often one step ahead of the adults, but his lead is constantly threatened, building steady tension throughout the novel, screenwriter Stokes’s debut."--Publishers Weekly

cool book
Who is the other character other that Addison, Molly,Raj, and Guadalupe
I liked the book but (SPOILERS) I don't get why the airport asked for id. I liked that Raj loves adventure and the 'Five Finger Discount'. I would rate it five stars.
This was a really good book, though I felt it was a little long. Addison Cooke is a kid growing up in a family of archeologists. He spends his hours reading books, and says the names of infamous people instead of curse words. When his uncle and aunt are kid napped by an evil doctor and his mafia, who want to use a newly discovered key to steal Incan treasure. Addison, his athletic sister Molly, his neighbor and danger loving friend Raj, his neighbor and Spanish speaking friend Eddie will head to South America to save the Cookes and possibly acquire treasure. This book was really funny at some moments and Addison was an interesting character.
Addison Cooke and sister Molly Cooke are stuck in school while their aunt and uncle are searching for hidden treasures. Molly and Addison's parents had died, so they lived with their aunt and uncle. The siblings are the opposite of each other. For example, Addison breaks rules, and Molly has never broken a rule in her life. Addison keeps reading about the Incas treasure that has not been found yet, and his uncle and aunt have the first key. He, Molly, and friends go to find the treasure. They are meet Guadalupe, a professional thief, on the way. They are racing Professor Ragar, Zubov, and their bodyguards to the treasure. Who shall reach the Incas Treasure first? Read to find out! I rate this book 5/5 because this book was well detailed, and kept my head in. I can't believe you fit so much adventure and excitement into 366 pages! Highly recommended.
i have not read it but it sounds like a good book
best book ever
very funny and is about finding treasure
Addison Cooke and the Treasure of the Incas is an action-packed book. This book focuses on Addison and Molly Cooke, two siblings whose characters are quite different from each other. They are from a family of archaeologists. Their aunt and uncle were archaeologists, and so are their parents. Addison and Molly lived with their aunt and uncle, for their parents had died during a work expedition. Uncle Nigel and Aunt Delia were the people who took care of Addison and Molly. Addison is a bookworm, while Molly is an athletic kid. Addison never follows rules, while Molly has never broken a rule in her life. This all ends when Uncle Nigel shows Addison and Molly an ancient Inca treasure. It is the first key to a great adventure. Out of nowhere, an evil gangster and rival of Uncle Nigel swoops in and attacks Uncle Nigel. What will happen to Uncle Nigel, Molly, and Addison? Who will get to the ultimate prize of the Incas? As the two groups race head to head to find the treasure, both teams will have advantages and disadvantages, but at the end, there is only one winner. Many traps are around, and you might find a hint, or face a mighty fate. If you want to learn more about this adventure, you should definitely read this book. I really enjoyed this book, and I hope you do too!
