Awesome! I read this book after my class did an American Revolution unit for a reading group and I L O V E D it. "George Washington's Socks" features a group of kids who want to camp - until they discover a mysterious wooden boat near the edge of the water. A sort of spell comes over them, and they jump in and row away. Little did they expect to row right into the times of Washington crossing the Deleware River, on a surprise attack and the turning point for the 13 colonies! With natural tragedies, dreadful losses, real history, and heartwarming scenes, Elvira Woodruff's novel will keep you reading till the end.
I loved this book! It is about 5 kids who teleport through a rowboat to the american revolution. It sounds boring but it's a great book!
