A great journey about a rather odd swan that uses a trumpet to express himself instead of his voice. Though the book is quite a classic, the adventure within it is still quite heartwarming.
my teacher read this to my and i loved it
September read aloud book
Louis is a swan that can't make a sound, so many swans laugh at him. Louis likes Serena, but he can't call her. So Louis uses a trumpet, a chalk, and a chalkboard to live a happy life. Louis is a very famous swan because he knows how to blow a trumpet.
One of my favorite E.B. White books!
I read this in third grade and LOVED it.
this book was awesome!!! i read this when i was seven years old. the swan looks cute... ha! love it.
There is a type of a swan called 'Trumpeter swan', but s swan who can blow a trumpet?! But the more surprising thing is; there's a reason this swan is blowing a trumpet. Why?
This book is very inspiring. It tells you about a swan who cannot speak. His father has to steal a trumpet for him so he can be able to attract a mate. This story is about friendship, love and so much more.
