Naruto is a ninja-in-training with a need for attention, a knack for mischief and, sealed within him, a strange, formidable power. His antics amuse his instructor Kakashi and irritate his teammates, intense Sasuke and witty Sakura, but Naruto is serious about becoming the greatest ninja in the village of Konohagakure! Believe it!

While this first volume still holds up and is a lot of fun (read in 4th grade, now in 7th grade...still good) please note that after the Chunin exams Naruto has all interesting characters and plotlines sucked out of it and they are replaced with filler and dragged out long annoying battles. Get it from the library so you don't end up spending $9.99/volume then one day getting to a bad volume and realizing you just wasted $10.

I love reading this book! The main character, Naruto Uzumaki is a trouble maker! This book is full of actions and humors.Naruto's dream is to become Hockage. The book was really sad.Naruto's parents both died when he was born.So now he is an orphan. He worked hard at school but receive bad grades.Currently,Naruto is in Team 7 with Kakashi,Sakura, and Sasuke.I will continue reading the Naruto series!

The Naruto series is really fun. I love reading manga books, and I love reading Naruto even more! Right now, I'm really angry because the books I requested from the library hasn't come yet.

This shows how a boy who has nothing can grow into much more.

good book

I liked this book because Naruto tries to go out of his way to become the fifth hokage and to get some respect.
