This book is an OK book that is about a girl that is really excited to be turning 12, but doesn't realize that with age comes responsibilities. Her parents promise her many things such as piercing her ears, going to the mall with her friends, baby sitting, sitting in the front passenger seat, and even a new cellphone. Rory Swenson is excited to be 12, to her, her life is officially about to start.

i loved this book! its about how rory(the girl) really wants to grow up, but finds out that growing up has its difficulties.

FAVORITE. I read it twice, actually before 11 Birthdays. I got it because it was the only Wendy Mass book in my school library.
this is a great book so far!!! A few embarrassing thins happen at first and they are interesting to read about she also imagines all the wishes that will come true on her 12th b-day! I recommend reading this book some time soon and i rate it 5 stars from what i have read so far.

This is a awesome read. It's about a girl named Rory who is a troubled 11/12 year old who dreams of becoming 12 years old, when she can do all of the things that her friends are all ready doing( like getting a cell phone, etc.). But there is more to it, she finds out, when she turns 12.
