The Twits

The Twits

By Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl's unique style of writing is very enjoyable. This book was refreshingly different and funny. The Twits, though married, play nasty tricks on each other. The Twits are ugly people with downright dreadful actions. So of course, enter the innocent characters Muggle-Wumps and family, who get abused. Then one day a Roly-Poly bird visits them, and changes everything. Will The Twits ever get what they deserve? I'd recommend this book for ages 6+, people who like pranks, and Roald Dahl.

Keep Out, Claudia! (Baby-Sitters Club)

Keep Out, Claudia! (Baby-Sitters Club)

By Ann M. Martin

This book is really good! New clients are always welcome at the BSC. So, when the Lowell's, new clients, ask the BSC to babysit their three children, the girls are excited. When Mary Anne sits for the kids, they are angels and extremely bright and helpful, but when Claudia sits for the children, they treat her terribly and wouldn’t obey her at all! Worst of all, next time Mrs. Lowell contacts the Babysitter’s Club, she asks for any sitter but Claudia! Preferably, Mrs. Lowell would like a "blue-eyed, blonde hair girl" instead. The girls are confused and worried. Who wouldn’t want Claudia as a babysitter? This book is amazing. It mixes fun with real life problems. I thought this book was very interesting and incredibly fun to read. This book opens the door for more in depth conversations about racism, prejudices ideology, etc. I suggest it if you like babysitting and friendship. Happy reading!

Charlotte's Web/Stuart Little Slipcase Gift Set

Charlotte's Web/Stuart Little Slipcase Gift Set

By E. B. White

Why i decided to read this book is because i really like a lot of the parts in the movie and book. The thing that I liked about the book is when Wilbur (the pig) meets Charlotte (the spider). The reason why I chose to read this book is also because I really like how he wins at the fair.

A Dash of Magic (Bliss Bakery Trilogy)

A Dash of Magic (Bliss Bakery Trilogy)

By Kathryn Littlewood

I really like this book a lot because there is a lot of description about what all the new characters look like. Evil Aunt Lily LaFey, is the beautiful, but evil aunt of Rosemary, Thyme, Parsley, and Sage Bliss. They think their aunt is harmful, but she is the opposite. Their evil aunt steals the special family Bliss Cookery Book. So Rose will do whatever she can do to stop her aunt. Rose challenges to a baking contest and will do anything she can to win! Her family depends on her to win the contest.

11 Birthdays

11 Birthdays

By Wendy Mass

This was a wonderful book i've had for years at home but never read. A couple days ago i decided to pull it off the shelf as i finished another book and ever since then my eyes were glued to that book. After reading for 4-6 days I finished reading. I was happy and completely astonished that it wasn't a huge bestseller due to a breathtaking plot and an amazing resolution to all the problems of the main characters. In the end I highly suggest 11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass to any interested and available ages or grades of readers.

No More Dead Dogs

No More Dead Dogs

By Gordon Korman

Everyone treats Wallace Wallace like a hero. People congratulate him because he scored the winning touchdown for the football team. In truth, Wallace is a pretty bad player. Aside from the one touchdown, he has never been much but a benchwarmer. Wallace cannot tell a lie. Even when his neighbor asks him if her cake tastes good, he says it tastes "like vacuum cleaner fuzz" because it is the truth. So when his teacher Mr. Fogelman asks him for a review about Old Shep, My Pal, he needs to tell the truth. Wallace hates the book because, in books like that, the dog always dies. As punishment, Mr. Fogelman orders him to be in the play, which is Old Shep, My Pal until he writes a proper review. Wallace stubbornly refuses to praise the book, so the detention drags on for one month. During that time, Wallace begins to change the "unrealistic" play. Soon, the play is hardly recognizable, but better. Just when it is going smoothly, Someone starts sabotaging the play. Who would do it? Wallace suspects one of his teammates, but is he correct? This book made me laugh out loud., and that is not a lie. I recommend this book to anyone who likes funny stories.

This book is HORRIBLE. I was reading it at my school library, and I was like, 'What do the Authors of this book want this generation of kids living in?' I've seen many of my classmates imitating those disgusting 'memes' in class. Don't get me wrong, I like playing Fortnite. I just don't feel like making fun of a nice game. Its just, UGH. You should try and appreciate the normal game and not photoshop it and add disgusting 'captions' to it.

Logan's Story/Logan Bruno, Boy Baby-Sitter/Shannon's Story: Books 3, 7, and 8

By Ann Matthews Martin

Logan's Story was such a good book! Logan has a lot to do every day: Football practice, track tryouts, babysitting, Mary Anne. So, when the BSC ask him to temporarily take Dawn's place, Logan is apprehensive to take the job. But finally, he does, and things get out of control. Yes, babysitting is fun, but Logan's football friends begin to tease him for hanging out with girls and babysitting. Logan is torn, how can he not let down the BSC AND not get made fun of? This book is all about making sacrifices, standing up for yourself, and friendship. I thought this book was great and would suggest if you like babysitting, friendship, slight romance, and fun! Happy reading!
