Kristy for President (Baby-Sitters Club)

Kristy for President (Baby-Sitters Club)

By Ann M. Martin

Kristy has always known how to take control of situations. So when she learns that she could run for class president, she is all for it. But campaigning plus keeping up her grades, and the Kristy's Krushers, and the BSC, and home life, it’s a lot! Can Kristy do it? Or was this idea not so bright? This book is all about slowing down and focusing on the things that matter. Kristy learns the importance of taking things one step at a time, a lesson all of us have learned or will learn. I really suggest this book. It was really good!

Weird But True Know-It-All: Greek Mythology

Weird But True Know-It-All: Greek Mythology

By Sarah Wassner Flynn

I love ancient Greek mythology. It is so cool! I can name the twelve Olympians. Zeus, Hera, Demeter, Apollo, Poseidon, Hermes, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaestus,Athena, Artemis, and so on. I like Medusa, sirens, the three Gorgons, and other stuff. So if you like Greek mythology, read this! I love myths because they are so unusual. Did you know that Poseidon's girlfriend was Medusa? Did you know that Hera threw Hephaestus the off of Mount Olympus, the highest peak in Greece? Whoa! Athens was named after Athena. This stuff is cool! Hades is the god of the underworld. Nemesis is the minor god of revenge.

Kids Weird But True: 300 Outrageous Facts

Kids Weird But True: 300 Outrageous Facts

By National Geographic Kids

Usually I would rate Nat Geo books 4 stars and above, but for this book I will rate it 3 stars because I was very disappointed in it. So the facts did not appeal to me, only one did. It was, in San Francisco, people call the fog, "Karl." The rest of the facts weren't really interesting. They were just talking about what people did. Like a man ate __ hot dogs in __ seconds. But I want to read about naturey stuff. Real stuff. That is what fascinates me. Not what people do. Because I don't care about records or stuff. I only like animals and historic event facts and etc. Sorry but I did not like this book as much as the other Weird But True books.

If you like magic, riddles, adventure, comedy, and AWESOME HOWLER MONKEYS, read this book. It's basically about a band of magical animals who have to gather up more magical animals to defeat an evil bunny rabbit who wants animals to rule over humanity. Banshee the howler monkey is always cracking me up... getting the dog out of that place with her drum... Skylar: How clever! Using the beating sound of your drums to drown out the voices of the dead, so he can regain his sanity? Banshee: Not quite...(whacks the dog over the head with her drum)
