By Erin Hunter

Amazing! Adventurous and exciting, Erin Hunter’s epic book brings life to the animal world. I definitely recommend this to animal lovers and other people alike! Three must become four...to battle the evil that looms up ahead. To save every cat they know, and much more beyond. The three cats destined to do this are Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovewing, who are all part of an ancient prophecy. Now, they must make a journey that will test their faith, loyalty, and dedication forever. Jayfeather can read the thoughts of others. Dovewing hears things that are very far away. And Lionblaze is a great fighter, almost invincible. Are they ready to face the darkness that the prophecy predicted? Not unless they have a fourth cat to help them. Peace has been shattered...and must be brought back. Good will prosper. Evil will not. Can the prophesied cats dispel the darkness that has been foretold to destroy them? Read this book to find out!

Counting Thyme

Counting Thyme

By Melanie Conklin

Eleven-year-old Thyme (Time with an "hy") and her family has moved from their home in San Diego, California to the big city. New York City. They had to move so Thyme's little brother, Val, who has nerve cancer, can get into a clinical trial to see if doctors can save his life. Thyme is not happy about this. All she can think about is moving back to the only home she's ever known so she can be back at her old school, old friends, and old home. Thyme comes up with a plan to get back to California. Whenever she uses her free-time to do a chore or a task, she gets a time slip. That time slip is a certain amount of time that Thyme gets to cash out to spend time with her mother, or to hog the iPad all to herself. As the story moves along, as Thyme make more and more friendships, the jar she keep the time slips in gets more and more full, her family situation gets more and more tense, and Val's condition gets more and more worse. Thyme has to make a choice. She can either leave her new friends, parents, and sick little brother to go back to a place that truly has nothing to offer her, or she can stay, and realize that all the home she needs is right in New York City. I give this book 5 stars because it is absolutely excellent. Happy reading!

Big Nate: In a Class by Himself

Big Nate: In a Class by Himself

By Lincoln Peirce

I really liked this book. It was awesome! ok...let's get started...So its about this boy named Nate Wright. He faces off Mrs. Godfrey, the social studies teacher, in hopes of skipping the quiz he THINKS he has. But then he learns that he DOESN'T have the quiz and ends up biffing Francis in the head when he says he actually LIKES tests. But when he gets to school, he realizes he forgot his lunch at home: "Its not here! You've gotta be KIDDING me!" I recall him saying, so Teddy shares some of his lunch, which includes a fortune cookie. Nate eats the fortune cookie during class, which causes the class pet, Gina, to call on Mrs. Godfrey who walks up to Nate's desk in order to scold him. Luckily, Nate manages to swallow it before she peeks into his mouth. And guess what fortune he gets out of the cookie? 'YOU WILL SURPASS ALL OTHERS' Says the little slip of paper. Nate was delighted! So he keeps trying in vain to make it happen. You will have to read it yourself to find out if it will or not. I recommend this book for people who enjoy comics.
